The last three days of Jesus’ life were intense. He had a mission to accomplish that would impact our lives for eternity.
Having his heavenly Father turn his back on him was the greatest price Jesus paid for our rebellion against his will.
On Friday he was mocked, scorned, and crucified. On Saturday all seemed quiet, except for what was happening on the other side of death. By Sunday morning something incredible took place.
Jesus’ death satisfied Roman authorities. The removal of a renegade satisfied Israel. And, unknown to anyone, Jesus’ death satisfied God Almighty. With God’s satisfaction in his Son Jesus, we now have access to the Lord.
