Medical savings and very low out of pocket costs
Samaritan Ministries is a Christian Health Share Ministry where its members take care of each other’s medical expenses. It’s a simple program and it works very well. I have been a member for several years and don’t plan on returning to expensive insurance plans. Our family has submitted medical bills in the tens of thousands of dollars and virtually every penny has been covered. The monthly cost for our whole family is currently $495 a month. Compared to what we were paying (almost $15,000 per year) that’s a savings of 60% every year (not including the savings on deductible costs)!

Membership exempts you from the Affordable Care Act
And another benefit is that with Samaritan Ministries you are exempt from the Affordable Care Act’s requirements and penalties.
Samaritan Ministries members are exempt from the federal health care law’s (Affordable Care Act, U.S. Public Law 111-148) requirement that you have health insurance or pay a penalty-tax (see 26 United States Code Section 5000A, (d), (2), (B)).
